Allen West Apology
A Second Allen West apology is overdue.
I now realize the first was merely a courtesy
extended, but not heartfelt. Now it's time
to come clean.
First a little history of our relationship.
Back before the 2008 Elections, I and other
local Democrats were not satisfied with our
Congressman Ron Klein's "Pelosi lap dog"
positions on issues. He voted with the Party
team and not always his constituents or in the
Country's best interest.
While looking for alternative candidates, a
friend suggested going to a meeting and
listening to a new, unheard of Republican
candidate named Allen West. I Stated there
was no way I would consider voting for a
Republican.
He asked me to forget about POLITICAL PARTY
thinking and listen to the individual (this
was a turning point in my politics and the
basis for this web site's theme of NO PARTY.
Realizing what many Party line American voters
missed for decades, we must look closely at
the individuals being considered for political
office to be sure their politics match ours).
I and a few other Democrats went to the town
hall style open forum meeting. Mr West spoke
first and then fielded some pointed Democratic
liberal based questions. After listening to
Allen West that evening we were amazed he was
saying all the things we were thinking about
the problems and direction of our neighborhoods
and Country. He was focused on the important
issues and able to transcend voter demographics.
We helped in his 2008 Campaign by doing some
sign placement and word of mouth. It was all
in vain, West was out funded by the Democratic
political machine. The Party funds flew in when
the extreme left realized there was a voice in
the political wilderness that the people were
listening to for real hope.
Fast forward to the 2010 Campaign. We were
determined to work harder to prevent another
political catastrophe as the 2008 elections
proved to be in hindsight.
This time we contributed funds, helped with
signs and worked the phones. Word of mouth via
the Internet was the big difference. West's
words on "YOUTUBE" resonated with like minded
Americans, not only in our district, but across
the Nation. He was saying what everyone believed
was urgently needed, turn our Country around or
we may never be able to pull it from the brink.
My first Allen West apology came at the West campaign
headquarters the night He won the election. I
went over to congratulate him and asked him to
sign my old Democrat Voter Registration card, a
symbolic rejection of the Party system.
While he was signing I asked him about his
prospects of a Presidential run. He stopped what
he was doing, looked (semi glared) at me and said
"These people just elected me to represent them
as their Congressman and that is my only intention".
First Allen West Apology
A sheepish response of, "sorry, I understand", was all I could muster and walked away.
So, here we are, the two political machines with
Mass Media at their side continue their intentional
and/or unintentional destruction of the fabric of
America.
They are only effective at assuring
their political Party and Careers stay in tact,
feigning concern with the issues, while being
ineffective at agreeing on remedies. Bottom line,
nothing has changed. Issues that 60% - 70 % of
Americans firmly believe need fixing to prevent
the demise of our Great Country are lost in 2012
election platitudes.
"The power under the constitution will always be in the
people. It is intrusted for certain defined purposes,
and for a certain limited period, to representatives of
their own choosing; and, whenever it is executed
contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their
wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will be
recalled." George Washington
- Letter to Bushrod Washington, November 10, 1787
The 2012 Elections could be America's last hoorah,
if American voters don't take control of their
employees. This leads us to the real problem.
Have you looked at the Presidential hopefuls,
including the heir-apparent? It's like a political
airline baggage turnstile. They are all trying
to say the right things, but their own political
nature calls them out. Personal issues, ideological
issues, their voting history, the damaging Bills they
supported and all being vocal about the Country's
issues but proposing no real solutions.
More empty promises that sound good until you
take a closer look and realize it's only more hot
air and lies (campaign promises and Politi-speak usually
end up being lies).
"Let the reins of government then be braced and held
with a steady hand, and every violation of the
constitution be reprehended. If defective, let it be
amended, but not suffered to be trampled upon whilst it
has an existence." George Washington
- Letter to Henry Lee, October 31, 1786
So will Americans find hope in a candidate that has
the drive and conviction to bypass the Washington
quagmire?
What are we really looking for in a leader? A
political Party yes man(or Woman)? A Celebrity?
The Media's "we know what's best for you " pick?
"The best way to preserve the confidence of the people
durably is to promote their true interests."
George Washington
- Letter to Joseph Reed, July 4, 1780
NO! We are looking for someone that thinks and feels the same as Americans do about their country. someone
that is a proven leader. We are looking for a leader
to defend and uphold the U.S. Constitution.
Hey, what about Allen West? He is all of those things.
But he's already given a firm NO regarding the issue.
When George Washington finished the revolutionary war
he was an American hero, but all he wanted was to go
home to be a farmer.
"The great Searcher of human hearts is my witness,
that I have no wish, beyond living and dying a private
citizen on my own farm." George Washington- Letter to Charles Pettit, August 16, 1788
Now that the country was free there was an unsettled feeling
and confusion as to the direction of the country. America
was in turmoil, sort of like today. The people realized
the country needed more than anything, a strong, solid leader
to guide them out of the abyss, sort of like now. The new
Americans were relentless in their desire for Washington
to be their leader. Finally Washington ignored his desires
and yielded to the will of the Nation. A True American!
"I was summoned by my country, whose voice I can never
hear but with veneration and love."
George Washington
- First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789
The second Allen West Apology.
I apologize to Allen West for not pursuing my vision
of a leader needed in difficult times.
I apologize for allowing one "NO" to stop me from
relentlessly pursuing a leader the country needs now.
And now for my final Allen West apology . . . . .

** Vote for an American Leader in 2012 **
ALLEN, While serving your current term you must have
come to the realization that the Office of President,
using political maneuvering, has circumvented the power
of Congress and the Supreme Court, therefore rendering
them in-affective. You can restore the office to it's
original intention as President of the United States
of America.
ALLEN, Your Congressional term will be served, as
promised, in time for the 2012 Inauguration.
ALLEN, Stand above the fray. America is waiting for
someone like you.
ALLEN, your Country needs you now, it's time to say yes.
I guess by now you've read through the whole apology thing.
Thank you,
A Constitutional Constituent.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
